Minerals for what comes next
Copper, cobalt, manganese, lithium, rare earths, graphite and nickel, produced across seven countries. These are the inputs on which electrification, grid infrastructure and defence manufacturing depend.
We operate in jurisdictions that are demanding, and we hold ourselves to a single standard across all of them.
Thirty-two years from one gold licence
We were founded in Perth in 1994 as a gold explorer. We listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2001, took our first African position in Ghana in 2011, and in 2016 committed the business to critical minerals ahead of the demand that has followed.
We employ approximately 7,400 people. Around three quarters of them work in Africa.

What we take out of the ground
Nine commodities across eight countries. Tantalum sits alongside lithium in the Ethiopian licence area and is not yet in production.

Our projects
Two assets define the next phase of the business: our principal graphite operation in Tanzania, and our first position in Ethiopia.
Nyati Graphite Operation, Tanzania
Nyati lies in the Lake Victoria region of northern Tanzania, approximately 60 kilometres from Mwanza, where we maintain a corporate and logistics office. The operation entered production in 2024 and is our principal graphite asset.

Kelecha Lithium–Tantalum Project, Ethiopia
In 2026 we were granted early-stage exploration licences over pegmatite targets in the Guji Zone of southern Ethiopia. Field work has not yet commenced. Kelecha is our first position in the country and, if it advances, a material addition to our lithium portfolio.

Our people
Our workforce is drawn from more than thirty nationalities. We employ locally wherever the skills exist, and we invest in developing them where they do not.
